There are usually some unfortunate situations that come away when we are using our cars. We could be simply driving on the highway when a block or a stone comes crushing into your car window and it breaks. In this article, I would like to show you how you can use tape to deal with a broken car window.

-          Make sure you have an assistant who can get into the car and be opposite the broken car window so that they can apply pressure when securing the glass. It is advisable that the assistant has gloves to protect against scratches and cuts from the broken glass.

-          Take some tape that is about 3 inches longer than the window crack and have it cut using a pair of scissors. This helps the tape go beyond the area where there is a crack.

-          The tape should then be applied to the window, one edge at a time. This should be done as one works their way along the crack. While this is being done, the assistant should be holding on to the window while applying pressure so that the tape can secure the crack.

-          A strip of tape should then be applied over the crack on each side of the tape. This overlapping tape should be ½ an inch longer each time. This is a good way of strengthening and securing the earlier applied strip of tape.

-          The 2 previous steps stated above should be repeated while on the inside of the car. This is will help in securing and strengthening the broken car window on both sides.
